Are you looking for work from home jobs for extra income? then you in for a good pizza.
What I like about work from home jobs is that they are easy and help you save cost on commuting.
But, aside from that, is the freedom to run your own schedules and plan your day. I, personally, didn’t like the restrictions of day jobs on my plans.
It sucked – for me!
But I didn’t wait too long to be ‘bossedd’ around by bosses. If I did, I, honestly don’t know what who would later happen:
- We quit the talks in the office and settle the rest in the octagon. OR
- I would boss myself up and fire the boss!
Well, before it got to the first option, I told myself:
“The thing is getting real. I’m outta here!”
Now, if you love your job, you can still keep it and do these jobs on the side.
But if you are a stay at home mom – or you, like me, just want to work for yourself and run your day, I think these jobs would be great for you.
Having said that, here are 17 work from home jobs to check out…
1. Start a money-making blog
Do you have some ideas you are passionate about – and you would like to share your ideas with the rest of the world?
You can be a blogger!
But I’m not just talking about posting your SPACE – I mean you can turn your blog into a profitable side income that will make you quit your job.
How much can you earn?
To be honest, it depends. But point is, the more visitors you get to your blog, the more likely your income grows.
So the next question obviously would be, how long would it take to get visitors to your blog and make a decent income.
Now here it is:
If you do everything right, I think you should make a decent income from your blog in 5 months.
However, if you need help, you can check out my detailed post on How to start a blog.
Proofreaders help businesses and companies correct spelling and grammar errors in texts.
You can expect about $45,000 in average salary as a proofreader and up to $66,000 if you happen to be a top earner according to Glassdoor.
On top of that, most proofreading jobs are remote and flexible, which makes a good side hustle with a day job. Can you imagine if you have an easy side hustle that earns you an extra $2000 or $3000/m?
Now, if you are a beginner, you probably won’t know how to land high paying proofreading jobs. So I would suggest you learn from anyone who has seen been through it.
I once read a post about Caitlin Pyle and how she built her highly profitable proofreading business. Caitlin has been featured on Forbes and Business Insider.
But the good news is that she has a FREE 76-minute workshop where she will show you all about how to land high paying proofreading jobs and make a full-time income – and even if you don’t have a degree.
3. Online fitness tutor
Av. Salary: $49,645/yr
Did you know that an average American spends about $155 monthly on fitness? And that’s about $112,000 in a lifetime.
In other words, Americans spent more money on fitness than college tuition fees.
Here it is: Most people will go a long way to keep fit.
So you can rake some of the money for yourself if you are good with fitness by setting up online workout training for people using Zoom.
Most people would even love the convenience of staying at home and having a personal trainer at the click of a button.
To get clients is not difficult:
Talk to people at the Gym: If you regularly go to the gym, talk to people about your training.
Start a YouTube channel: Set up a YouTube channel and post videos of your workout sessions. A good number of people who watch your videos will pay for your live training.

7. Flip items on Craigslist
If you have great bargaining skills, you can buy items on craigslist and flip them for multiples of the original prices.

Many people list used items at very cheap prices on Craigslist because they don’t want to go through the stress of refurbishing them.
And that means, if you buy the items and refurbish, you can still make great profits by listing it just a few dollars less than the price of new items.
8. How much can you make?
It can depend on many things. For example,
- How active you are.
- What you are flipping
- And your bargaining skills.
With that being said, I’ve seen people make $10,000 monthly doing this on Craigslist.
All you need is your PC and 1 hour of our night on Craigslist.
9. Sell Handmade crafts
If you have handicrafts and DIY skills, it’s time to turn it into an extra income with an Etsy shop.
How much can you make with an Etsy shop?
Here is an idea: I read recently that Ally Shaffer made up to $70,000 a month.
And what does she do?
- She creates some cool handcrafts and uploads them to her Etsy store.
- Etsy floods her store with buyers, and they share the profit.
That being said. I need to add that not every single person on Etsy makes that kind of money. Right?
However, if my instinct is right, I believe most people would be happy to make an extra $1000 per month with this – and that is completely doable.
And here is the part:
The longer your Etsy store is, the more products you have there, the more your monthly sales will grow.

With this job, you can make up to $13/hr on average. But your hourly pay can go up to $20 depending on customer orders and tips.
Food delivery job
I probably won’t suggest a food delivery job beyond 8 pm. That’s just for security reasons. But you can, at least, work in the evening till 7 pm, and you would earn pretty well.
There is a simple reason for that:
Most delivery drivers retire home in the evening, so customers often offer better tips for the few ones.
According to Indeed, an average food delivery driver earns about $20 per hour.
